Older people have been saying that the young people today seem entitled, but what if they are seeing people who know what they want and how to get it and don't appreciate it when older people insist they are entitled to tell the young people that no, you have to run a stupid maze to prove that you should have what you want..

I guess he doesn't believe he is lucky to not be saddled with a handicap. He is completely vague on what his dad did after he left his farm, and must not think he is lucky to be the son of such a dad. For that matter he is completely vague about his own efforts.
